Been so busy that - unforgivably - I forgot to mention  the work of Tim Freeman and his team to get MusicWirks together again this year. A great day on the Sunday and a lovely lunchtime session at Babbington Hall - thanks again to Alan for the PA and sound mix.

OK - out and gigging for Spring, Summer Autumn 2018. New dates include Friday 29th June, 70th Birthday Party for the National Health Service at the NHS Social Club, White Cross Road, Haxby Road, York 7.30pm-11pm with music, food, drink (and Gwen says cake - so it must be some place). Get your tickets from Gwen - only 8 quid for what will be a brilliant night - and hurry! See poster above - we are going to have a party!

The a day later - Saturday 30th June at the Generous Briton Music Festival in Melton Mowbray. Playing at 7pm

One I am very much looking forward to is Longton Live Festival on Friday 13th July (despite the date).  We had a real party last year in the rain.   I've ordered sunshine this year....but its harder to get reliable supplies in Lancashire! But whatever it'll be great!

Next up is........

SAT 21ST - SUN 22ND JUL 2018Barton Under Needwood Steam Rally

where besides playing myself, we have some special guests booked, including the mighty Shaun Byrne showcasing material from his new recording and Terry Faulkner -  bringing a mix of edgy folk delivered with a truly magnificent voice. We are hoping to announce more names shortly.  Stop press - added to the bill - the wonderful Andy Flint..... this is a line up not to be missed.

New gigs for a busy Spring/Summer 2018 have now been finalised. Its been a long winter of writing new material and writing up the back catalogue of over 110 songs. And - 11 brand new songs worth keeping and playing sometime over the next few years...yes I was surprised too that there were so many and also how good some of the one's I had written way back sounded!

Introduction

The Outland Revenue is a band with a mission  to play its own songs and some very different arrangements  of material written by others.  The current line up adding Matt playing guitars and adding vocals has pushed The Outland Revenue project up to a new level.  Together with Bill - guitar/vocals and Michael - Percussion (and anything he can hit or rattle) play original songs that are founded on real-life stories.

A sprinkling of versions (we never consider any of them to be covers) of other people's songs are included in our set and given an Outland Revenue makeover.  Our philosophy is never to copy to but to try to add something to the original.

This band's approach sets it apart from others in being able to approach its music from a point of view of getting the best out of the songs and performance.  Band members constantly feed new ideas into what we do top create fresh and vibrant music for you -our audience.

The result is that we always keep things fresh and our songs take you on a story-telling route for a musical journey.

Performances

The Outland Revenue's full line up is Bill, Matt and Michael
